Incident : Simple Burglary/ Felony Theft/ Damage to Property

Burglary of a concession stand located at 13600 Lovett Rd. , compl. Betty Lewis informed that unknown subjects forced their way inside the stand and stole several food related items. The following night or morning, the stand was burglarized again but no fored entry was made due to the suspects having stole a key to the business during the previous incident. The second burglary was listed under file #08-29997 originally handled by Dy. Ruiz. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at 225-389-5000. Crime Stoppers is also offering a cash reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person or person’s responsible for this incident. Contact Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Armed Robbery & Burglary Detectives arrested Michael S. Holden at 1921 Dallas Drive. Holden was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for multipe counts of Simple Burglary, Theft, and Possession of Schedule II Drug (crack cocaine).

The following EBRSO case files were cleared in Central as a result of Holden’s arrest:

Lady Rebels Undefeated!

The Lady Rebels went to the Southern Explosion June Jam in Monticello, Mississippi on Saturday, June 14th.

The Lady Rebels went undefeated after playing 6 games on Saturday.

They faced the Dixie Sticks from McComb,MS for the championship game and pulled off a victorious win with a score of 7-6.

The Lady Rebel players are Bayleigh Anders, Camryn Austin, Alayna Averette, Reagan Baggett, Amanda Biggs, Alexis David, Allison Flurry, Alexa Lonibos, Makenzie Morgan, Amy Newsom, Noelle Shipley, Lindsey Wright. A special thanks to our honorary players Alli Howard and Brandy Bozeman.

Coaches are David Baggett, Darci Biggs and Jimmy Stockton.

Central Clean-Up Day

\The City of Central Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Clean-Up Campaign. They are asking businesses, churches, student and civil organizations and all concerned citizens of Central to join in. It is a great opportunity to do something positive for our city and to work shoulder to shoulder with your friends and neighbors. Everyone will meet at the “Central Fairgrounds” at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at Jackson Park at noon. Cold drinks, water and trash bags will be provided and pizza will be served at noon.
