Central School Officials

Central Community School System superintendent Mike Faulk (left) and assistant superintendent Ronnie Devall (right) put their feet on the street in support Saturday’s tax election. Tuesday, during the morning commute, the two of them were standing on the corner of Hooper and Sullivan promoting a YES vote on funding a new school complex for Central.

Whether you intend to vote for or against the new taxes, you have to admire the commitment shown by our school system leaders. Since before the inception of this city and school system, residents of Central have shown this type of enthusiasm. Let’s all begin by exercising our right to vote this Saturday, July 19th.

Slow Down on Joor Road!

Please remember to exercise caution in work zones around the city. The City’s maintenance crews have reported that motorists are driving too fast around them as they are trying to do their job with keeping our streets repaired and cutting grass along the roadsides. Also, the Sheriff’s Department has been stationing radar patrols on Joor Rd in the 35 mph construction zone, and they have been issuing tickets for speeding.
