By  |

The Central Branch Library will be hosting educational classes for adults. The first is an Introduction to Microsoft Word this Thursday, October 9th from 10:00 AM to 11:00. Participants will learn how to format page margins, change fonts, insert graphics, create bulleted lists, spell check, and justify text. The class is offered on a first- come, first- served basis. No materials are needed unless participants want copies of files they create during class, in which case they should bring a 3 1/2″ floppy disk. For more information on this class, call 262-2650.

The second class will be offered on Wednesday, October 22nd at 10:30 AM. The class is called “Researching Your Military Men and Women,” and it will focus on basic search strategies, resources, and tools to help locate military service records. Resources on women’s roles during military conflict are also available. Those who are interested must register ahead of time, and they may call 262-2640 with any questions.

These classes are free to the public, and members of the community are encouraged to come take part in these educational opportunities.
