CP Double Header vs Bowling Green

The Central Private Rebels got a dominating pitching performance from Ridge Perkins as they completed a doubleheader sweep of the Bowling Green Buccaneers with a score of 11-8. Perkins pitched 5 innings of 5 hit baseball and struck out 9 while allowing only 2 earned runs. Perkins escaped bases loaded, 1 out trouble in the first inning by inducing a double play ground ball and again in the second inning with two strikeouts. Gage Wlkinson picked up the save for the Rebels by striking out the only batter he faced. He was also 2 for 2 at the plate and scored 3 runs. Jacob Fryoux picked up 2 RBIs and scored twice as he had 2 hits with one being a double. Thomas Bourgeois added a double and 2 RBIs for the Rebels, as did Taylor Ort. Landon Williams had 2 hits and scored 3 runs for Bowling Green.
Game 1: The CP Rebels were able to break open a close game with four runs in the last 2 innings to take the opening game of a doubleheader against the Buccaneers, 6-2. Thomas got his first win of the season, allowing 1 run in four innings while striking out 6 and allowing 3 hits. Jason Young got the save pitching the final three innings. Ridge Perkins provided the big hit for the Rebels with his sixth home run of the season. The 3-run blast came in the fifth inning and put the game out of reach for Bowling Green. Travis Rose also had a double, a run, and an RBI for Central Private.
