CHS Tops Port Allen in Season Opener

The Wildcats opened the season tonight with a convincing 50-17 win over Port Allen High. CHS kept the pressure on until just after half time, amassing a 50-3 lead, then got a chance to give future starters some playing time.

On defense #34 Hunt and #7 Vest combined for 11 tackles and 10 assists, with Hunt adding 3 sacks. In all, Central allowed Port Allen just 104 yards of total offense.

Briscoe went 10 for 16 passing with three TD tosses. Cutno grabbed three passes for 94 yards.

The Wildcats travel to Covington next Friday, the 11th, to face St. Paul’s, a strong 5A opponent.  Plan on making the road trip and showing Covington how Central travels.
