CP Rebels Beat Adams County Rebels

By  |

In a battle of Rebels on Friday night, Central Private scored early and often to defeat Adams County Christian School by a score of 33-21.  Bobby Muse scored five times and had 263 yards on 31 carries to lead the Central Private Rebels. Muse, who has 1,574 yards on the season, is following an offensive line that has one returning starter, Matt Overlease.  He is joined by Daniel Holloway, Brandt Moore, Orin Byland, Sy Tate, Terrell Stubbs, and Rhett Seguin in making running room for Muse.  Travis Richard has been the fullback leading the way for Muse and also gaining clutch yardage in the middle of the field to keep the defense honest. CP quarterback Jason Young had one of his best outings of the night as he went 6-10 for 76 yards and no interceptions. Matt Wallace was his main target on the night as the big tight end kept 2 drives alive with clutch third down grabs. The defense was once again led by Hunter Martrain, Richard, and Trevor Shephard. Shephard is a 145 pound nose guard who uses his quickness to constantly harass the opposing quarterback.  He had 8 tackles on the evening.  Seth Smith and Chuck Conrad also had 4 tackles apiece on the evening, helping Central Private hold ACCS to 18 total yards rushing. The Rebels return to action this Friday, as it is Homecoming week in Baker.  The Rebels host Wilkinson County Christian at 7:00pm with homecoming festivities and senior night activities beginning at 6:30.
