Sullivan Center Sidewalk Celebration

By  |

On Saturday, October 17, the businesses in Sullivan Center, the shopping center on Sullivan Road behind Sullivan Hardware, got together to showcase their businesses and provide some fun for Central citizens. Throughout the day, Cer Care La Pace Salopn had discount specials on haircuts, while Sullivan Hardware held a special sidewalk sale. The day’s schedule began with several upbeat dance performances from Legworks by Terri Dance Studio. Soon after, the students from Central Karate gathered to give a karate demonstration with different karate moves and stances, as well as board breaking demonstrations. The Church in Central contributed with an awesome set of praise music from their worship band, as well as serving jambalaya dinners to raise money for their upcoming mission trip.
Also featured Saturday was the recently-created Art League of Central, which put on an Art Walk with original paintings, handmade ceramics, wood carvings, and knit wear for sale. The Art League was present also for the ribon cutting ceremony with the Central Chamber of Commerce to mark the official opening of the Art League of Central Gallery in the front of Freneaux Fine Art Studio.
Thank you to all who helped to make this a success. Below are some pictures from the day, with more to follow soon.
