Police Chief Candidate Bio: Michael Garner

By  |

I am Michael S. Garner, and I am a candidate running for Chief of Police on March 27th.  I’m retired from the Department of Corrections, where I worked for 20 years.  17 years were spent within the adult system, where I worked my way up to the rank of Correctional Captain/Shift Supervisor.  During my last 3 years with the Department, I worked for the juvenile system, where I retired with the rank of Correctional Major/Unit Manager.  Since retiring I’ve been working in the sheet metal industry.
