Remember to Drive in the Right Lane

By  |

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – This month Louisiana State Police start to crack down on drivers riding in the left lane of travel.
The law requiring drivers to move into the right lane on a multi-lane roadway when not passing or preparing to make a left turn took effect at the beginning of this year.
Troopers spent two months after the bill became a law raising awareness. Over the past two weeks more than fifty citations were handed out to motorists for driving in the left lane. Troopers were advised to use discretion when enforcing this law.
