Our precious baby girl, Kelsey Rae, was welcomed home in our loving Father’s arms on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010. She was 18, a senior at Central High School and a native and resident of Central. Visiting at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, on Monday, March 1, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church on Tuesday, March 2, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dennis Terry and the Rev. Lawton Searcy. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by her parents, Tammy Pocorello and Charles M. Lieux; maternal grandmother, Alice Pocorello; paternal grandparents, Una Marshall and Russell Lieux; two sisters, Alicen and Sarah Grace Lieux; honorary grandparents, Nanny and Uncle J. McLin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Leo and Violet Volentine; grandfather, Joseph F. Pocorello Sr.; and uncles, Michael and Edward Ray Lieux. Pallbearers will be Farrell, Ronnie, Lonnie, Pete and Jonathon Pocorello, Kevin McLin, Josh Meeks, Eric, Kenny and David Lieux, and David and Scott Landry. She was a cheerleader and honor student at Central High School. She was loved by many with her big, beautiful smile and her love for life. Those that knew her are truly blessed. Her love for cheering lives on as she was the Central Wildcats’ biggest fan. The family asks that any donations please be made to the Central Wildcat Backers organization in memory of Kelsey Lieux.
