Remembering Theodore “Ted” Francis LeBlanc, Jr.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, he passed away unexpectedly due to complications from heart surgery on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 7:45 PM.  Theodore was a resident of Central since the age of 7.  He was 48, survived by his wife, Gretchen Roussel LeBlanc of Central; son, Theodore Francis LeBlanc III of Central; daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Aaron Schatzle, and Samantha LeBlanc, all of Central; mother, Virgie Ourso LeBlanc of Central; special grandson, Trace Micah LeBlanc, Paw-Paw's "Little Buddy Roe"; grandmother, Marjorie Ourso Acosta; brother, James "Jimmy" LeBlanc, Sr. of Central; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Michael Rome; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.  He was a parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church, a member of Carpenters Local 1098, a 1979 graduate of Central High School, and a licensed general building contractor for the state of Louisiana.  Preceded in death by his beloved father, Theodore Francis LeBlanc, Sr.; and grandparents, Pierre Clinton Ourso, of Baton Rouge, and Jules and Lena LeBlanc, of St. Gabriel. 

Pallbearers were Brandon LeBlanc, Ryan Rome, Charlie Cancienne, Stanley Brown, and Aaron Schatzle.  Honorary pallbearers were Alvin White, Clinton Ourso, Michael Rome, Jimmy LeBlanc, Thomas Sanders, Eric Lee, Billy Prestridge, Clifton Austin, George Roussel, Jr., Greg Roussel, Gerard Roussel, Justin Day, Charlie LeBlanc, and Donald LeBlanc.  Visitation was held at Rabenhorst East and St. Isidore Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial was also held at St. Isidore with the Rev. Fred Youngs, celebrant. Entombment in St. Gabriel Catholic Church Mausoleum.  Special thanks to the nurses at the CICU at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
