Ryan Stockstill graduated from basic training in the U.S. Air Force on March 12, 2010.  During basic training Airman Stockstill was taught military history, weapons use, and preparation for combat.  He then successfully exercised those skills in the Basic Expeditionary Airman Skills Training (BEAST) course.  Airman Stockstill is now attending the Air Force police academy at Lackland Air Force Base and will then be transferred to Camp Bullis for additional combat training with the Air Force Security Forces. He will qualify with the M-16 assault rifle, M-60 machine gun, M-203 grenade launcher, 9mm hand gun, and other weaponry issued to the Security Forces. After graduating from Security Forces training, Ryan will earn the right to wear the prestigious "blue beret" and will be deployed to an as yet unspecified Air Force base.  Ryan is the son of Steven and stepmother Candace Stockstill and Lori and stepfather Ken Owens.  Ryan is a lifetime resident of Central and Zachary.
