Aimee C. Cahanin is a Computer Forensic Examiner for the Louisiana Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, High Technology Crime Unit.  She is a part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (I.C.A.C.) Task Force which investigates Internet based child exploitation crimes.  As a forensic examiner, Ms. Cahanin is responsible for the forensic analysis of evidence including examination of personal computers, laptops, iPods, cell phones, CDs, DVDs, gaming systems, cameras, video cameras, etc. Ms. Cahanin shares her knowledge on the difficult issues and dangers associated with the use of the Internet by our children as she gives Internet Safety presentations to various law enforcement personnel, civic and professional organizations, schools, and parent organizations throughout the state.

 

Ms. Cahanin holds a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University as well as a Professional Master’s Degree from Tulane University .   She has also spent time studying in Dar es Salaam , Tanzania , East Africa .
