Children’s Central Branch Library Programs for July

Children’s Knitting Group
Thursdays in July, 5 p.m.
Kids, want to learn to knit? Children ages 8-11 are invited to join us at
the library every Thursday evening. Beginners can learn from more
experienced knitters and crocheters. Supplies will be available. Brave
adults are also welcome! Registration is required.
 
Tae Kwon Do Demonstration
Tuesday, July 6, 2:30 p.m.
Martial artists from the Langston Tae Kwon Do Academy in Central will
demonstrate some of their techniques. Suitable for children ages 5 and up.
Registration is required.
 
“Sheep on a Ship” Story and Craft
Thursday, July 8, 10:30 a.m.
Children ages 2-5 are invited to the library to listen to the book “Sheep
on a Ship” by Nancy Shaw, and then make their own sailboat that really
sails! Registration is required.
 
Very Hungry Caterpillar
Tuesday, July 13, 2:30 p.m.
Children ages 2-6 will listen to Eric Carle’s story, “The Very Hungry
Caterpillar,” and complete a caterpillar craft. Registration is required.
