Upcoming Fun Events at the Greenwell Springs Road Library

Saturday, July 10th: A workshop on plastic fork sculptures will be held at 10:30 a.m.  Willie Perry will teach participants the art of plastic fork sculptures, and he will walk everyone through the steps for making a plastic fork brimmed hat.  Several fork sculptures will also be on display for visitors to view.  Registration is required.

Monday, July 12th: Come to the library to become a cardboard warrior.  At 2:30 p.m., teens will make swords out of cardboard tubes and armor out of cardboard, newspaper, and duct tape.  The library will provide all of the items needed for your project.  Please register for this event.

Wednesday, July 14th: Join fellow gamers at 2:30 p.m. for a Mario Kart battle.  Wii systems will be set up for teens to play.  Please register ahead of time.

Thursday, July 15th: Kathy Rome will be present at 2:30 p.m. to teach visitors how to make small handmade booklets.  She will teach a basic pamphlet stitch that beginner participants can use to bind their own booklets.  It just takes paper, thread, and a needle.  Supplies will be provided.  Call the library to learn more or to register.
