CPS Peewee and Peanut Football Registering This Week

By  |

Submitted by Central Private School

The Central Private School Peanut football team is looking to repeat as league champions in the 2010 school year. The undefeated Peanut team won the Commissioner’s Cup in 2009. While some of the players are moving up to the Peewee team, the Peanut team, made up of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders, looks to continue with last year’s success.

After an absence in the Peewee division, our team will be making a strong return in the 2010 season. Made up of 5th and 6th grade students, the Peewee team looks to extend its winning tradition.

Although most of the team members are Central Private students, the CPS team is open to all students from Central, Livingston, Zachary and other neighboring communities. If your child is interested, there will be a meeting in the Central Private High School Gym on July 17 at 10:00 am. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required by the Dixie Youth Football Association; please bring a copy with you.

There will also be registration forms available for Coach Longmire’s Football Camp to be held at CPS July 19-21.

For additional information call Dave Kolb (225) 439-8417 for the Peanut team (2nd-4th grades) or Ryan Torres (225) 279-0576 for the Peewee team (5th and 6th grades)
