Thank You from Claire Marie’s

We recently had a very successful  jean trade in event and we would like to thank those of you who participated. We collected over 25 pair!  With so much going on  during this season…..last min vacations…..getting prepared for school to start and even staying cool….it was so wonderful  that so many of you took  a second and think about others.  These jeans will go to ladies who need an extra hand.  I am always honored to work with the ladies of Central and this is just another example of why.  We are always looking for areas to make a difference.  Sometimes it is the little things that bring joy.  Thanks again for stepping up and reaching out.

I owe an apolgy to the owner of this store. See below for posting from Facebook concerning Boycott.

    Mike Mannino Folks,
I talked to Claire Marie at length after the council meeting tonight. I PERSONALLY apologized because thats the way I am and she gave her side of the story. I’m going to have to say I should have contacted her in the beginning because… she deserved the opportunity to defend whatever was alleged. My mistake. I have no personal knowledge of what went on, maybe the whole thing was a miscommunication but I cant judge that. In this case, I’m going to have to assume that to be what happened. Seems like that is a reasonable position to take. Doesnt change my views on how to handle what I can prove to be anyone taking a position that is counter to mine. Everyone, including me is entitled to their opinion and what actions they take to reinforce them. Sorry but I’m not a turn the other check kind of guy because that indicates weakness and people will take advantage of the weak.

So, whether you agree with me or not, my wife will continue to shop at Claires, which will probably cost me double now to make up for this. A women with a credit card is a dangerous thing !

I’m going to have to totally disagree with you again! Making an apology, listening to another side of a story and accepting their views even if it may not be the same as yours, turning the other cheek does not make you a weak person. Sometimes it makes you a stronger and a better person!!! Thanks for doing the right thing!

Admitting mistakes and doing something to correct them is the first sign of an ethical and honest person. Not turning the other cheek when you’re wrong only makes things worse. I agree with Denise.

I’m not on facebook, so I don’t know what this “boycott” is about? Can someone fill us in?

You are both right when a person makes a mistake. In this case, I was wrong and man enough to admit it. I learned a long time ago being bullheaded when you are wrong about something only makes it worse. First step is to admit you are wrong though. I hope my sincere apology shows that.
