HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

This week marks the first anniversary of the opening of the ROGERS REGIONAL EYE CENTER.  The Eye Center is owned by Kevin A. Rogers, O.D., a lifetime Central resident, and located at 18522 Magnolia Bridge Rd., Ste 101 (almost at the corner of Magnolia Bridge and Greenwell Springs Rd.).  Dr. Rogers is a graduate of LSU and of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN., and is very involved in the Central community.  You may have seen him at Cookin’ for Central, or at the Chamber of Commerce, of which he is a member.  He is also a board member of the Kiwanis Club.  He is the President of the Southeast Optometrics Society and a member of the Optometry Association of Louisiana.  Dr. Rogers also volunteers his time giving informative talks to various organizations, as he did just recently, discussing the effects of Sjogren’s Syndrome on the eye at the Central Library.

Dr. Rogers and his associate Baron J. Williamson, M.D. provide comprehensive eye examinations and care for their patients.  Among the many services they offer are cataract, macular degeneration and glaucoma treatments, laser vision correction, and help for dry eye syndrome and diabetic eye problems.  They are fully equipped to deal with any eye emergency.  The Center offers oculo-plastic surgery as well.

In addition to medical services, Rogers Regional Eye Center has a fully stocked optical store offering a wide selection of frames and contact lenses.  In the very near future, they will be offering an in-house lens lab which will grind lenses on site, the only Central –located business to do so. Give them a call or stop by – Tammy Harris at the appointment desk will be glad to assist you.

As an anniversary special, Rogers Regional Eye Center is offering 30% off all sunglasses.  More information can be found at www.rogersregionaleyecenter.com, or call them at 261-6282.
