Something More to Celebrate

What do you do when you’re eating a peaceful lunch at Pit Crew BBQ last Tuesday and a nutty woman tearfully begs your help to rescue –A DOG??  If you’re Captain at Central Fire Department, you patiently pull on your latex gloves and help another Good Samaritan load the dog (which had been hit by a car) into the back of a pickup truck to go to the vet.  In addition to rescuing the dog, these two stellar Central citizens probably prevented a car accident, as vehicles were swerving around Hooper Road trying to avoid it.  “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” -Gandhi
