Last week, Louis Mechanical celebrated the 50th anniversary of the family business.  On September 1st, 1960, Louis DeJohn’s father started a plumbing contracting business that has been owned and run by the family ever since.  A reception was held at Drusilla Place on September 2nd.  Family and friends attended and exchanged stories about the business and its employees.  Louis DeJohn, a Councilman for the City of Central and long time Central resident, now runs the company assisted by his family.  Congratulations to Louis Mechanical for 50 years in business.

Integrity, hard work, honesty and dedication are all an intricate part of this family’s personal life and work ethics. Through this they have earned the trust not only of the Central Community but the construction industry as well. As a citizen of Central, I want to thank the DeJohn family for your many years of love, time and dedication to Central and especially to Cooking in Central.

Mr. DeJohn should be commended for all of the unselfish time and donations that he and his company have made to this city and our school system. He is a fine example of someone who cares about his community.
