Central Middle School’s 8th grade team lost to East Feliciana Tuesday night 34-22. Turnovers inside the 10 yardline for the second week stopped the Wildcats again. After E.F. scored on their opening drive, the Wildcats ran 9 offensive plays to get to the 10, when a fumbled pitch stopped the drive. Four plays later the Tigers scored to go ahead 14-0. It remained that scored until the 2nd half when the Wildcats opened up their scoring by a 12 yard run by Justin Vessel early in the 3rd quarter. The extra point run was stopped short. Another touchdown run of 38 yards by Kevin Henry and a touchdown recovery in the endzone by Rodney Johnson was not enough to stop the athletic East Feliciana team from taking charge of the game late in the 4th. The offense was powered by big blocks from Cameron Hooper, Brett Skinner, Aubrey Mitchell and Brennon Fontenot. The defense held on all night with big stops by Matt Harris, Dylan Marson, Shane Story and Jerimiah Mayes.
Next week the 8th graders open their home schedule Tuesday night at 5:30 vs. Denham Springs Jr. High.
