Election Day Is Saturday- Read This- Your Vote Counts

Last year the voters of Central chose to build a new intermediate school by a margin of 142 votes.  In our last School Board election a candidate was elected by a margin of 14 votes.  You are encouraged to understand that in Central, your vote counts.

This Saturday the voters of Central will choose School Board Members, help elect a Judge and a Lieutenant Governor, and weigh in on Constitutional Ammendments and vote on taxes.  Working against a good voter turnout is hunting season, early tailgating and a 2:30 LSU vs Tennessee kickoff.  Working for a strong voter turnout is a Central community that has taken control of its own future, creating a great city and a School System which is already amongst the best in the state.  CentralSpeaks.com encourages everyone to vote, regardless of who you support.  Central has made its mark in Parish-wide elections and the issues and candidates on this ballot deserve our attention.

Of singular importance to the Central Community are the three School Board District races.  If you need information on the candidates, go to www.CentralSpeaks.com and look under the "Election 2010" tab where you will find Candidate Statements and "Virtual Debates" in which candidtes challenge one another with the tough questions.  Finally, make an informed decision based on the qualifications you feel are most needed on the School Board.  So……on Saturday……..VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE!
