Mayor’s 100 Club Supports Blue Star Mothers of Central

By  |

The following letter from the Mayor describes the Mayor’s 100 Club:

As Mayor, I am again asking for support for the Blue Star Mothers of Central, an organization supporting our troops overseas.

Again this year I am forming a Mayor’s 100 Club which will recognize anyone who supports this effort with a $100, or more, contribution.  Last year we raised almost $4,800 for this fine group and I would personally like to see us surpass that amount this year.  If you are not able to give $100 but would like to support this effort, any contribution will be appreciated and noted.

We are asking businesses, churches, schools and individuals who supported this effort last year to again help this year.  We would also very much like to get other individuals involved in this fine effort.  Please deliver your check (payable to Blue Star Mothers of LA) or supplies to my office at 13421 Hooper Road, Suite 8 by Friday, October 29, 2010.  You may enclose a personal note or message which can be forwarded to these service people.  Please help out this organization and know that you have helped to bless those fine men and women who serve in our armed forces.

The following items are needed for the soldiers overseas.  Please send small sizes.  Any and all donations are appreciated.
