City Services Committee Begins Work

    On Monday the City Services Committee held a public meeting at the Central Library and began the process of evaluating Central's City Services.  The 21 member committee, made up primarily of Central residents, is tasked with preparing a bid or bids to provide services to Central such as street and drainage maintenance, permitting, code enforcement, etc.  The following subcommittees were formed and chairpersons named:  General Services – Wayne Leader, DPW – Fred Raiford, Planning & Zoning – Rodney Bonvillain, Permits – Pete Firmin, Contracts – Louis DeJohn.  Each committee will meet as needed and meet back as a whole in late November.  The following meetings are already scheduled: Contracts – 6:00 10/25 at City Hall, DPW – 6:00 10/26 City Hall, General Services 6:00 10/21 Central Library.
