CPS Basketball Team Wins Silliman Tournament

Last weekend, the Central Private basketball team won the Silliman Tournament in stunning fashion.  The final scores of each of CP's games were as follows: Cps 92, Oak Forest 29; CPS 83, Bowling Green 56; and CPS 79, WCCA 19.  The MVP of the tournament was Taylor Fletcher, and Dave Jackson made the All-Tournament team.  Bowling Green and Oak Forest were ranked 7th and 5th in state, respectively.  CPS, with their high octane offense and low key defense, was just too much for all the teams they faced.  The bench was cleared in every game with great support from the second 5, or the "Kamikaze Crew."  There is a new movement in Central called the "Rebel-ution," where all the teams get caught in the crossfire of Rebel long range shooting and short range dunks.  CPS registered 12 dunks against WCCA, proving some exciting up tempo basketball.  Their next opponent is Presbyterian Christian out of Hattiesburg, who were runners up in state last year.
