Central Private School’s class of 2009, along with friends and family of recently deceased Steven Whiddon, gathered Saturday morning, January 8th, to plant a live oak tree in his memory near the practice football field at CPS.  Andy Kinchen, 2009 class president, said, “We wanted to plant this tree in a spot overlooking the place where Steven spent many hours here at CPS practicing football.”  An engraved granite marker was placed in front of the tree to serve as a constant reminder of Steven’s love for his school and the Rebel team.  Flowers were also planted around Steven’s memorial by his friends and classmates.
