The CPS boys varsity basketball Rebel-ution won their district championship outright Tuesday night with their 87-46 win over the Silliman Wildcats.  Heavy scoring came from Taylor Fletcher, with intimidating dunks from Jake Flaggert, Dave Jackson, and Fletcher.  The Kamikaze Kids scored 23 off the bench and maintained a solid intensity level with Matt Myers finding the rage for 10 points with 2 three-pointers.

The girls varsity team played well in a loss to the Ladycats, and both the JV Lady Rebels and JV boys won with strong leads.

A highlight of the game was a Fan Shoot from half court, with a $20.00 prize each for the two fans who made successful half court shots.

The Rebels travel to Wilkinson County Christian School today (Friday, January 21), and play a strong Trinity Episcopal team from Natchez at home on Tuesday, January 25, with the varsity Lady Rebels playing at 5:00 and the varsity Rebels playing at 6:00.  On Friday, January 28, the Rebels play at Amite School Center, and the final game of the regular season, Senior Night, is Saturday, January 29, (5:00 PM) against Bowling Green.  The Varsity District Tournament is scheduled for January 31-February 5.
