Central Bloomers Time

The weather is cold and the yard looks bleek , but look closer.  If you planted any bulbs last fall, they should be coming up.  Some like narcissus are already blooming.  On the nice sunny days go ahead and get out in the yard. You can cut and clean up all the dead items and amend the soil to be ready to plant soon. Your local nursery will have just what you need and good advice. When you get there you will not be able to resist the beautiful selections they have right now for those porch pots .  My favorite is pansies , colorful and cold hardy. If you want a bigger project, consider roses.  Now is the time and your nursery has great selections and all the planting materials and advice.  Good luck.
