January 2011 Building Permits

            Building permit requested started off high for 2011 in the month of January in the city of Central. A total of 17 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $3,947,644.00. 

            Within these permits, one was issued in Village at Magnolia Square with a building valuation of $276,750; one in Morgan Springs valued at $168,592; two in Village Lakes with an average valuation of $267,115; one in Bellingrath Lakes valued at $346,942; one in the Gates at Burlington valued at $190,404; and one in Wisteria Lakes valued at $325,376.  There were two permits issued on private parcels of land around the city with an average valuation of $271,502.

            The remaining eight permits were issued in Burlington Lakes, Central’s newest subdivision located behind Amber Lakes subdivision off of Hooper Rd..  The average building valuation of these eight homes is $195,293.25. 

            These permits reflect a rise in residential building permit activity when compared to January 2010 when only 9 new permits were issued.  A total of 138 new residential building permits were issued in 2010.
