Magnolia Bridge Replacement Project Update

By  |

Submitted by Deana Vickry, Legislative Asst. to Rep Clif Richardson

The contractor has started on the east end of the bridge and is working toward the west. The bridge will have a total of 28 bents, which are concrete posts called piles that are driven into the ground with caps on top that help to support the bridge.

Bent #26 and #27 have been completed and piles are currently being driven for bent #25.  They are also still working on installing the construction access road for the project.  The picture above shows a view of the construction of the access road.
