Frenchtown Road Burglar Arrested

Between February 22, 2011, and March 05, 2011, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office detectives were investigating a string of seven vehicle burglaries which took place in the Frenchtown Rd., area.
 
In one of the burglaries a credit card was stolen and used at a local Circle K. Detectives were able to develop leads which lead to the arrest of a homeless man who admitted to breaking into the vehicles during the above period every other night. He stated he would sell the stolen items to strangers on the street for cash.
 
Arrested was: James Roberts, W/M, DOB: 01/09/92 of 4134 Safer Dr. Slaughter, La. Roberts was charged with: 7 cts. of Simple Burglary, 7 cts. of Theft, and 1 ct. of Access Device Fraud.
 
He was booked into parish prison.
