Miranda Paige Moore, a senior at Port Allen High School, just signed her letter of intent in Sports Medicine as a Trainer at Northwestern State University.  Miranda is 18 yrs. old and is a First Responder AED/CPR Certified  & a EMS Explorer with Baton Rouge EMS.  The signing was held at Port Allen High School.  Miranda is the first student in the history of West Baton Rouge Parish to ever sign to a College on a Trainer Scholarship.  She chose Trainer over playing softball after looking at what will most likely lead to a career path to a bright future.  Miranda is the daughter of David & Toddie Milstead of Port Allen and grandaughter of Carole Spurlin and the late Gene Spurlin of Central and Wilfred T. &  Marilyn VanNorden Jr. of Port Allen.  Miranda’s family is very proud and excited for her.
