Central had a rough start to district play with a loss to Catholic Tuesday 4-3. The Wildcats fought hard but couldn’t quite manufacture enough offense to beat the Bears. Central was led at the plate by Jacob Lesage who got 2 hits including a home run and all 3 RBI’s. Dylon Buhler started the game for the Wildcats and only gave up 3 runs in 3 2/3 innings of work.

The Wildcats came out Thursday and were beaten by Denham Springs 7-0. Central was led at the plate by Lesage (1-3, double) and Sam Doucet (1-3). Cade Butler’s strong performance for the Yellow Jackets was enough to keep the Wildcats from scoring any runs.

Kelby Blalock closed out the game and only gave up 1 hit. Central was led by Layton Laird and Corey Davis who each had two hits. The Wildcats won the game 3-1.
