More than 110,000 men, women and children are on the national transplant waiting list and every 12 minutes another person is added. In Louisiana more than 1,800 people are waiting for organ transplants. One organ donor can save the lives of up to nine people.  For more information on becoming an organ donor log on to www.lopa.org.
