After losing three straight games, the Wildcats responded on Senior Day with an 11-2 victory over the Walker Wildcats. Central was led at the plate by Jacob Lesage (3-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI’s), Corey Davis (2-4, RBI), Chet Myer (2-4, 2B), Dylon Buhler (3-4, 2B), Sam Doucet (2-3, 2B, 3 RBI’s), and Brett Courville (2-2, 2B, RBI).  Kelby Blalock (2-3) had a strong outing on the mound, pitching 4 innings and only giving up 2 runs. Chet Myer threw three scoreless innings in relief to pick up his first save on the season.

On Saturday, Central faced the the best offensive team that they had seen this year.  At Kirsch Rooney Stadium in New Orleans, Jesuit beat Central 13-2.  Layton Laird and Jacob Lesage each had an RBI, but that was not enough to counter the Jesuit fifteen hit game.  Dylon Buhler picked up only his second loss of the season.

Central (19-12, 6-5 District 5-5A) plays their final regular season game at Live Oak on Thursday at 6:30.  With a win, the Wildcats should host a first-round playoff game as a 15 or 16 seed playing either Captain Shreve or John Ehret.
