Central Pickleball Players Win Medals at Mid-South Tournament

The Mid-South Pickleball had their tournament in April in Mandeville,La. There was 200 players from La., Miss. Ala., Fla., N. Carolina, New York, Tenn., Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Arizona, and Calif.                     

Medal winners form Central {Lovett Rd. Park] was as followed:
Davon Martin – bronze men singles 35+, silver MX 19 +                                                           
Hunter Causey – bronze men single 19+
Robert Kelly – silver MD 55-59
Chris Soileau – bronze MD 35+, Gold MX 50-59
Sue Langolis – Gold MX 50-59
Charles Welsh – Bronze in MD 65-69, Silver in MX 65-69
Corney Welsh – Gold in LD 65-69, Silver in MX 65-69
Erica Martin – Silver MX 19+
John Arbour – bronze MD 60-64
Amanda Causey – a boot and a crutch[Sprain ankle]
One interesting note was the person that beat Corney and Charles Welsh in the finals of 65 MX was Alice Tym, who defeated Billie Jean King 3 times in Pro tennis.
