Central Chamber of Commerce Holds June Membership Dinner

Submitted by Chamber President Ron Erickson

The City of Central Chamber of Commerce held its June “Membership Luncheon” on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Kristenwood.  The event started with networking at 5:30pm and regular activities started at 6:00pm.  Technically, I guess you would call it a “Membership Dinner”!  Many of our members have expressed a desire to come to the luncheons but can’t come at the noon hour.  Therefore, we are going to continue to host one evening membership dinner a quarter to allow members to attend who can't come during the daytime.  These meetings will be in addition to our  “After Hours” events.  Thanks to all those who came out to our Thursday evening “Membership Dinner” and helped to make it a success.

We offered an invitation to various members to present their summer programs and those that were able, utilized the opportunity.  A special thank you to those that came and did a great job of presenting the summer programs they are offering.    If you are looking for a summer program for your child, call the chamber office and we will be glad to share the information we have.

The evening concluded with the giving away of door prizes and these two important announcements.  The City of Central Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble will be held on Monday, June 27 at the Oaks of Sherwood and our July “Membership Luncheon” will be held on Wednesday the 13th and will feature State Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry, Mike Strain.

Thanks to Bone Marketing, Brian Harris Chevrolet, Camp Istrouma, Future Hope Ministries and NAPA J&C Auto Parts for bringing the door prizes!

Continue to have a great summer and remember that members are the Chamber!
