School Board to Interview Law Firms
On Monday, June 20th, at 6 PM in the Central Middle School Library the School Board will interview two law firms which have applied to become the Central Community School System's Legal Counsel. Law firms Decuir Clark & Adams and Hammonds & Sills will each give a twenty minute presentation to the School Board and the public. After the presentations the School Board is expected to vote to go into executive session to interview the firms. At their June 27th meeting the School Board is scheduled to decide via vote which of the two firms to hire. The hiring of new legal counsil became necessary when Sheri Morris, the attorney who was instrumental in the creation of both the City of Central and the Central Community School System, gave notice in March that she no longer wished to serve as legal counsel for the School Board.
