How You Can Help Local Families in Need

By  |

In addition to the opportunities to help the victims of the recent house fires, there are two other charitable efforts going on right now in Central:

Jambalaya Benefit for Infant's Medical Bills
There will be a jambalaya benefit dinner for 2 month-old Peyton McGraw on July 30, 2011 at B&B Cabinets, on Greenwell Springs Road. Peyton is currently in the hospital for dialysis.  This fundraiser will help her family cover medical expenses.  Please purchase your tickets in advance. You can purchase tickets at B&B cabinets, or by contacting Darryl Shaffer at (225) 939-6405.

Berean Collecting Baby Items for Family of Drowning Victim
Two men perished in the waters of the Mississippi River this weekend.  One of the men was Josh Peters who left behind his wife, Karla, who is expecting to have their baby girl any day now. Berean Ministries would like to be a designated drop off point for newborn baby items such as: clothes, diapers, wipes, lotion, powder, formula, and gift cards.  Bring these items to 6565 Morgan Road, Central, LA 70739 between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. Please consider donating to this cause as it will bring some relief in such a difficult time. Thank you and may God's grace be upon you. -Kenny Kepper, Berean Ministries
