On Saturday, July 23rd, Kain Huey, a blue belt level 1, placed 3rd in sparring and forms at the Taekwondo World Championships held here in Baton Rouge at the Baton Rouge River Center. He has only been taking Taekwondo since September 2010 but has taken Gold and Silver at the last two tournaments (Regionals/Nationals) he has competed in.  His family is very excited about his accomplishments and love that Taekwondo has given him a lot of confidence!  We give a lot of thanks to taekwondo for that.  He is excited that the competition is over, because now he wants to start Jujitsu along with Taekwondo and doesn’t have to worry about confusing the two with a tournament in front of him.  Kain says he is looking forward to more competitions to bring home more gold medals!

Kain is a proud resident of Central, student at Tangelwood Elementary.  He attends Joel Neely's Taekwondo Plus (Coursey Blvd).
