School Board Meeting Monday- Time Changed to 7 PM

From the Central Community School System

The time for the regular School Board meeting has been changed until 7 PM.  Before the meeting, there will be a public hearing at 6:30 PM regarding the Pupil Progression Plan.  The hearing will also be held at Kristenwood.

  5. To consider approval of the minutes of the Regular School Board Meeting held on July 25, 2011.
  6. To consider the Superintendent’s recommendation for administrative, instructional and support staff positions. (Mr. Faulk)
  7. To receive a report from the Curriculum/Instruction/Accountability Committee Meeting held on August 1, 2011 and take appropriate action relative to the following:
                  a.  The proposed Pupil Progression Plan for the Central
                       Community School System for the 2011-2012 School
                       Year.
  8. To consider a resolution to adopt portions of the Louisiana Procurement Code relative to Sole Source Purchases and take appropriate action . (Mr. Faulk)
  9. To consider a MOU (Memorandum of Agreement) between the Pelican Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. (ABC) and the Central Community School System and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)

   10.   To consider granting the staff permission to advertise for bids for
           lockers and musical instrument cabinets for Central High school.
           (Mr. Faulk)

   11.  To consider the staff’s recommendation to award a contract for
           Live Oak Maintenance at the New Intermediate and Middle
           School Sites and take appropriate action. (Mr. Bogan)

   12.   To consider granting the staff permission to advertise for bids for
           a construction contract for Access Control and Fencing work for
           Phase 2 Renovations at Bellingrath Hills and Tanglewood
           Elementary Schools. (Mr. Bogan)
