Amite River Preservation Association

Working as they have all summer, founding members of the Amite River Preservation Association are still picking up litter from the river. They were not deterred by the rain this past weekend. Their launch is now decked halfway up the hill (thanks to Mr. Milton Franklin). Pictured Sunday from left to right are Jacob Venable, Matthew Venable, Kaylee Tassin, Grace Delee and Grant Venable. They now have a website ( ) where they are posting pics and keeping their log online. Also they would like to thank the Central Bloomers Garden Club for helping restock with trash grabbers and garbage bags. Please contact them if you would like to help or make a contribution to their cause.

Wow!…. You guys are doing an awesome job. It appears (from the photos on your website) that the majority of the trash is from Tiki Tubing. Do they offer any sort of assistance?
