Steve Rabalais of Rabalais Homes announces the groundbreaking of his new office complex located at The Village at Magnolia Square. The new complex will feature 5 office spaces. One will house the offices for his contracting company. "We started our business with a home office in a bonus room," Steve shared at the luncheon event held on Monday August 8 to celebrate the groundbreaking. "We have completely outgrown that space and are excited about the great opportunity to have our office located in The Village at Magnolia Square." Rabalais Homes was established in 2005 and has been building award winning custom homes in Baton Rouge, Central and surrounding areas. They have constructed many of the homes located in The Village at Magnolia Square Development.

Also in the complex will be Britton and Koontz Mortgage, formerly located on Greenwell Springs Road. Ritha Milton, B&K Mortgage Loan Officer, expressed her excitement: "Britton and Koontz Mortgage will be moving at the end of the year from our temporary location in the Magnolia Square offices to the new complex. We will be offering the same great service we have always offered our mortgage customers. In the future, we hope to be able to offer more extensive banking services to Central."

Also moving to the new location will be Edward Jones Investments. Daniel Newman, Financial Advisor for Edward Jones, is very happy to be moving to a location in the heart of Central. "Edward Jones has the most locations in the country to serve the needs of our clients. Almost 7 million investors can attest to the quality services we offer," he stated. "This great location is just one more way we will be serving the residents of Central, and an excellent opportunity to be a part of this development. They have some wonderful plans for this traditional neighborhood."

New to Central is Wall Décor and More Interiors. Owner Mia Townsend has been in business for over 25 years with her husband Rickey in their Prairieville location. She offers her clientele original window treatments and unique decorating accessories, while he handles installations. Wall Décor and More has evolved to become a custom design studio featuring, in addition to window dressing, bedding, furniture, rugs and accessories all affordably priced. Susan Rabalais and Linda Noland will be assisting her in the shop. All 3 are tremendously excited about this latest venture.

The complex is slated to open at the end of this year. A fifth office space of 850 square feet is available for lease. Dwayne Carruth is the architect who designed the complex with a New Orleans flair. Architectural features such as wrought iron balconies give the office spaces individuality and an old world feel.
