Building Permits Pick Up during July

            Building permits picked up rapidly during the month of July 2011 within the city of Central thanks to the lower permit fees approved by the city council that went into effect July 1. A total of 17 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $3,923,981. 

            Within these permits, one was issued in Wisteria Lakes with an building valuation of $213,072; eight were issued in Village Lakes with an average building valuation of $216,276; one in Woodstock with a valuation of $246,628; two in Morgan Springs with an average valuation of $142,599; one in Oak Cluster with a valuation of $316,408; one in Hampton Village valued at $241,981; and three on private parcels of land with an average valuation of $296,826.  So far this year, a total of 89 new residential building permits have been issued.
