Central High School’s ACT scores continued to rise this past year.  The class of 2011’s average composite ACT score was 21.8, up from 21.0 last year.  Central High’s average composite ACT score has grown by 4.3% since the inception of the Central Community School System.  During that same time frame, the state of Louisiana’s average has fallen by .5% and the national average has gone unchanged.

CHS continues to outpace the state of Louisiana, and for the first time in recent years, CHS also exceeds the national average in every subject area.

*In 2009 the state average also fell, and the national average remained stagnant
