As storm clouds gathered on the horizon, Central Private’s season opener against Cenla Academy of Pineville made it to the coin toss before officials had to delay the game for bad weather.  Some 35-40 minutes later, the game resumed with a late kickoff.  From that point on, the field looked as though it were deluged with yellow flags instead of raindrops as the game was fraught with penalties.  Senior Lance Wicker scored the single CPS touchdown, and the game ended in a loss to Cenla 28-6.

A big thank you goes out to Lionel Selser of Selser Photography for supplying this season’s CP Football photographs for publishing.
