Political Sign Guidelines Reminder

By  |

From the City of Central

This is a reminder to NOT place political signs within the street or highway right-of-way. All signs placed in the right of way will be removed by city or state crews without any notice. To judge where the right of way is, signs should not be placed between the ditch and the street or between the telephone poles and the street. Fines of up to $25 per day can be levied for each sign placed in the right of way. Let's help keep our city clean.

Can signs be put at the end of a driveway?

Can we just get rid of all political signs and stop littering our city? Central only gets about 6 months a year without political signs.

Signs can be placed in your yard behind the right of way (not between the ditch and the street; if there is no ditch, the right of way is usually about 15 feet from the street).
