Burl & Helen Bailey Celebrate 60th Anniversary
Burl and Helen Bailey celebrated their 60th anniversary with family and friends at a special church service in their honor at Magnolia Methodist Church and a reception following the service. Along with their local family and friends they were surprised by several out of town family members that attended. There was a family gathering at their daughter and son-in-laws house after the reception.
The honorees have three children and spouses: Debbie and Ronnie Thompson, Jeanie and James White, and the late Randy Bailey and wife Edna.
They have 3 grandchildren and spouses: Jason and Lauren Thompson, Bryan and Vicki Thompson, and Randy Bailey. Great-grandchildren are Keith Blanda and Isabella Thompson.
The Baileys were married on August 3, 1951 at First Methodist Church in Monroe, La. She is the former Helen Garrett of Monroe.
