In Memoriam: Earl Newton Colbey

    Earl Newton Colbey, 81 yrs of Buckeye, Arizona, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2011.  He was born on May 18, 1930 in Harrah, Oklahoma to parents John H. and Lola R. Colbey.  Earl was a WWII and Korean War Veteran, served in US Navy and US Army and spent 37 months MIA /Prisoner of War in Korea.  He was a member of Task Force Smith and was a "Tiger Survivor".  He was a wonderful man, loving husband, amazing father, grandfather & great-grandfather and was loved by many.  Earl is survived by his loving wife Ruth of 46 years, 3 sisters Helen, Lois and Sharon.  Daughters Jeannie Spell, Rosemary Meredith, sons Wayne, Peter and Eddy Colbey.  1 son-in-law Tim, 3 daughter-in-laws Mary, Cheryl and Leticia, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  Viewing and Visitation was August 25, 6-9 pm and Funeral August 26, 6pm at The Worship and Word Church in Peoria, Az.  Remains are being flown home where honors will commence at Life Tabernacle Church, at 9353 Hooper Road in Central where he attended over 20 years.  Pastored by his grandson, Rev. Tony Spell of Central and officiating with Pastor Stacy Wiley of Peoria, Arizona.
