After a thrilling victory Friday night, Central (2-2) returns home for the first of three straight home games against the St. Amant Gators (3-1). The Gators have won three straight coming into this game. St. Amant returns 15 starters (7 on offense, 8 on defense). They run the flexbone (triple option offense), very similar to the style of offense Central ran last year. They have averaged 38 points per game while giving up 25 points per game. In comparison, the Wildcats average 26 points per game and give up 21.  Coach Dotson said, “We have a very good St. Amant team coming in Friday night. There are no bad teams on our schedule. We will have to be mentally prepared for each week’s game.” The most intriguing matchup will be between the Central run defense that gives up less than 100 yards of rushing offense and the St. Amant power running game. Come support your Wildcats in their final tune-up game before district.
